Systemik and Great Skies team up to bring their undeniably deep track “Late Decide” as Soundhall Records’ third release. The former of the aforementioned duo, who can draw upon supporters such as Skream, Benga and Plastician , injects the track with his signature deep low-end sounds that are tinged with as much melancholy as they are with effortlessness. Great Skies, who hails from Gillingham in Kent, is a man who has worked extensively with “Drowning”-lyricist Context, had his tracks played across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra as well as worked Black Butter songstress Syron. The track itself, along with the official video which premiered via the Aliasizm channel in January, is a perfect balance between the two artists’ differing styles and serves as a signal of intent from two young and exciting producers.
From despair and grief to optimism, the subdued electronic compositions on the latest from Opus form a moving narrative. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 3, 2023
